I didn’t even know people tried to train chihuahuas I thought you just let them be mean and they get a pass
You are suppose to train every dog. That’s people mistakes small dogs needs to be trained
You’re supposed to train any dog, regardless of size. People think they don’t have to train small dogs because they’re too small to seriously hurt anyone.
No dog being mean should just get a pass.
Actually I have two chihuahuas well one passed, they are hard to train but what I did was repetition and she was food driven (most are). My dad also train her to drive away the pigeons (so they won’t eat the grass seeds) and he did it by getting her riled up and then giving her praise. They still dogs you just have to figure them out by their personalities.
My chihuahua is better trained than most dogs I’ve met tbh…I’m more likely to bite someone than she is
I have a shiba inu, and your videos actually helped a lot. I have been telling my fellow shiba owners to watch your video bc she is now a total new dog with her obedience and recall. I made huge effort in training her and it is all worth it. I would say if you have a Shiba Inu definitely expect to train her daily.
What kind of collar do u use when walking . Or is it a harness
@@HiroThatDude I have the martingale collar first, and transit to a prong collar, and lastly the e-collar. Definitely watch his video for more info and techniques.
@@mobie9336 early exposure to more human interaction is essential. I forced my Shiba to be pet by strangers and visitors before 1 year old. Now she can snuggle up with my guest and also take command (shake hands, sit…) from them.
“A little bit of satan you can pack in your purse”🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅
Lol

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I always see shohuaoua’s as little devils too, he was right 🤣
I’m laughing as my little bit of satan is asleep next to me ❤
Little bite of Satan 🤣
There’s a super friendly shiba in our neighborhood who’s an escape artist. He runs around the neighborhood freely and comes home when he pleases. If you see him and yell “go home Arlo” he turns and goes home 😅 they had to put a tag on him that specifically says “I’m not lost, I’ll go home at sundown” 😂
Why would u let a dog free roam a neighborhood?

We have the nicest chihuahua I’ve ever seen. He isn’t aggressive. He’s very puppy-ish. He is the alpha, though. His brothers are both pittbull mixes, and they love him, but he can bully them off their beds.
your dogs know something about the Chihuahua you don’t
Most chihuahuas are actually very nice. The only mean one I know is one that’s mixed with a doberman
@@zozocecp every Chihuahua I know is nuts, I have a dog of my won a terrier, my uncle’s have a Chihuahua me and my dog both are terrified of it.
Little dogs are like that lmfao 🤣
My friend and I were walking around her apartment complex and this guy was walking his Shiba Inu, absolutely gorgeous dog, so we asked if he was friendly. The shiba promptly answered with a snarl and we couldn’t hold back the laugh because it was just so perfectly timed. “Is he friendly?” “Grrrrrrrr”
My buddies chihuahua barks at me when I’m knocking on his door but the second I come in she gets all excited and friendly. Usually I’ll sit on the sofa and it’ll sit on my lap then proceed to protect me from him and his family. He’ll bring me a coffee while I’m sat down and the dog goes for him and I have to hold it still, anytime anyone gets close to me, maybe 3 or 4 feet while that dogs on my lap it’ll turn from a sweet little lap dog into a little demon. I honestly think my buddies dog is only loyal to me, I find it really funny but my buddy hates it. Little does he know I always keep jerky in my pocket as an emergency snack so all dogs love me. Honestly I consider it a life hack, I think just my general laid back demeanor and body language puts most dogs at ease though, the jerky smell just seals the deal. It works for other animals too like cats, though I’m allergic to cats so I have to take the wheat with the chaff.
I’ve come across only 2 friendly shibas in my life as a dog owner myself. The rest have been awful. We took our two larger dogs to the dog park, one is extremely friendly and playful, and she got full on bullied and harassed by a shiba. He chased her away from every other dog there (there were about 20) and proceeded to nip and growl at her. She didn’t do to him, nor did she even go up and sniff him, she just wanted to play with one of her friends. Ofc, the owner didn’t do anything even when she watched him try to attack our dog on numerous occasions. We ended up going to the other end of the park until he left but she was terrified to go near any of the other dogs for a little while after the incident. About a month later, she actually became besties with a different shiba. Personally, I think shibas are very unpredictable when it comes to personality and trainability although half of the time if a dog acts up, it’s the owners, not the dog.
Are you sure the Shiba wasn’t just answering your question about his human.
@@David_Bergerac you are hilarious 🤣

My brother has a Jack Russell that I swear is periodically possessed by a demon from Supernatural. His eyes go all black and everything!
Yaaasss! Love Jacks and expected to hear them on this list 😅
My sister got my mother a chihuahua for Christmas and she turned into a Jack Russell..she’s crazy..she fits right in with the family 😂
@@nicoletambasco9210 We had a chihuahua Jack Russell mix they are called Jack-Chi. Most loving dog we ever had..
We call them “spinal cords” since they’re so instinctually reactive and destructive.
Lmao shibu inu is so relatable, mine chased a black bear up a tree… heard something back in the house…and ran back leaving me with a growling, angry, black bear up a tree…
Why did you climb the tree though?
@@teddnaing6851 nah the black bear was scared of my shiba so he was in a tree growling at me and angry lol, ran in back as quick as I could
@@masontoymaster5149 Stay safe. Stay strapped, brother!
Black bears are know to only attack defensively, they kill less than one person per year on the average.
Grizzly bears on the other hand will kill for sport and are responsible for 44 kills per year on average.
Stop the cap 😂
The Shiba Inu is the closest thing to a cat in a dog body 😂
@@johnvall9201there are always exceptions, some people get lucky

I’ve never heard that about Shiba Inu…interesting. The breed is very popular in Hawaii.

My friend had a common Chihuahua not one of those teacup ones. That little dude was loving to everybody
My chihuahua as well. Barks when he hears notices or outside.
Mine as well, but it’s still pretty uncommon.
My aunt had a Chihuahua, once, because of some issues, we had to send one of our cats to her house, and they immediately became best friends lol
I got two big Chihuahuas and they’re just the sweetest, the little ones are little devils but the big ones are like buddies who’ll lay next to you and love on you and want to play and spend time with you but they can be bossy if you spoil them, just don’t give them everything they want, but you can give them a lot without spoiling them.
Im from the mexican state chihuahua thats where they come from originally
We had a Shiba, the only issue we had was he was an escape artist, super friendly and never lashed out even when my dad picked up by the scruff of his neck and carried him back home
Bro has personal beef with the shiba inu 😂
“A shiba mother effing Inu” got me dead 😂
My Shiba Inu is half Westie and is the sweetest animal ever to exist. Unfortunately, she thinks any animal that is smaller than her is a rat and must be eliminated.
Indeed! I knew one family, they were affraid of their dog and locked it in cage!

Yep. Someone came into the vet clinic with a bull dog puppy saying they did their research and have the perfect dog. The vet said, “That’s great! We will be seeing you a lot!”
I have owned a Ukrainian bred Frenchie with no paperwork. 5 years and only went to the vet for food poisoning due to eating chicken bones off the street.
@@CyberTranceHero69Yeah speaks more against you
I had loads of them, no issues at all. I lived in France for a while and knew a breeder, none of his ever had any health issues at all, but he was a responsible breeder. If you had any health issues at all he would take them back and take care of it himself, remove them from the gene pool but let them live on as his pet… The reason I had loads is because the stubborn part is true, he gave me a stubborn one that was teaching the rest of his dogs bad habits. It just needed one on one attention and he couldnt fix it as fast as it was teaching the rest to be bad.
It was about a 20k dog, and the thing nearly broke me as I tried train it over and over, eventually one day it just started doing everything I asked without me noticing, and he visited and he was like “You did it, shes going to bed, asking to go outside, walking on leash, you did it” and I was like “oh yeah, I guess so, do you want her back?” and he just said “Nah, maybe I will take her to breed her later because shes breeding level if thats okay but shes yours now”.. Then he would pop over with others random and let me have them for a while.
I ended up thinking they are the most charachterful dogs I have ever owned, however stubborn is probably an understatment.
Also they are the only dog I have had that made the prettiest women I have ever seen run across roads toward me.
I knew a chihuahua who was a therapy dog at a chiropractor’s office. She curled up on childrens laps and calmed everyone down.
That’s literally my dog 😂 he loves every single person in this planet as long as they are inside the same house as him!
I love hearing the Chihuahua slander from “professionals” who failed to train a Chihuahua meanwhile looking down at my dogs who never bite and only bark out of pure joy when someone comes home 😂
thats the exception tho, not the rule. sounds like a nice lil pup tho😊
@@Uncivil_DreamsThere must be a *_lot_* of exceptions then. Three neighbors of mine had chihuahuas, all five dogs were perfectly friendly (though three of them required introductions before they’d accept you).
My next door neighbor’s chihuahua was best buddies with our cat, they enjoyed lounging in the yard together.
Maybe it’s that they are very prone to be bite happy if mishandled (babied) by the owner. I have only met two and both tried to bite me
I know a Chihuahua.
He is so chill with everyone it’s astonishing.
He just sits there and… Exist. No bark. No anger. Just Exist.
As a French bull dog owner I recommend getting a female if you have big dogs if you don’t both our one
Cause i have to let each of breed of dog outside i have a female and male two male and female pit bulls to the male one has beef with the frenchie so he almost killed the frenchie
My mom wants a fluffy frenchie so bad 😭 that’s the last dog she would ever get and spoil it so much I have 7 dogs lol
Having 7 dogs not hard
My pit bulls are so easy to train frenchies are calm. 99% of time but need engry please get a female frenchie not male 😭😭
I have zero regrets having my frenchy. Amazing cuddler & just so sweet
Nice argument for animal cruelty
i had a chihuahua for 20 years who just recently passed away but she was always kind and loved having everyone around
It’s odd to me that he over generalizes / exaggerates about “terrible” chihuahuas given his occupation. I’m a lifetime chihuahua owner – never had one like this, never met one like this, never been told by any acquaintance about a chihuahua like this…
Wonder how many chihuahuas have been “put down” for attacking 🤨 vs ANY other breed.
It’s Just weird. Maybe he was rejected by a chihuahua
I had 2 frenchies. The first one i got lucky with very little medical issues, but he was stubborn as hell. Only listened when he wanted too.
The 2nd one i dropped a little over 2k in medical cost within 6 months of getting him. He was a little difficult to train at first, but he was a people pleaser after that.
