I don’t have to teach my dog to spin. Whenever she’s excited, she spins.

Mine just jumps on me or other members of the public.. it’s weird because she’ll either run and jump full force into you, or she’ll “jump up” with her hind legs still on the floor and seems to put hardly any weight into you like a lot of other dogs would.

Luv it, his pup keeps spinning while he’s talking and then tries for the treats: pay me, pay me!!!
My dog was spinning by herself, from excitement, so I used the opportunity, added a hand signal and words, and that is how she learned the command. No treats. She found treats too exciting and distracting, no learning was done with treats, just praise. She now is tri-lingual (two languages and hand signals). Smart girl.

i taught my puppy spin mostly with toys so it’s something i use to build excitement before i throw a toy, she lovessss it 🙂
My dogs know two commands, one for a clockwise rotation, “spin”, and one for a counterclockwise rotation, “twirl”, and it’s fun to challenge my star dog with giving the commands quickly so he has to figure it out fast, and turn the correct way

Yep, I taught my dog this just a few years ago and she’s turning 11 this week. Super fun and easy.
My dog is 8. Shes pretty good at learning tricks so im going to teach her this today

Mine now does that when she’s confused about the command we gave her. She also does it every time she receives the stand command, but honestly as long as she stands I’ll be fine with it.
