My pitbull puppy always lays down when sitting vs laying for a treat. If she’s getting a treat, she always automatically lays down and that’s not what I want her to do. There’s a difference between sitting and laying. She knows the difference, but the older she’s becoming (about to turn 8 months), she’s more stubborn now. It irritates the thunder out of my husband when he’s yelling for her to come back inside. After 5 mins of hearing him become angrier and angrier, I’ll finally go to the door and say, “Nala! Girl, you’re tripping. Come on!” to which she comes running which pisses him off even more. She’s just not consistent. If she has the choice to do something other than follow a command, then that’s what she’s doing. I just don’t know how to train her to be consistent if she’s not on a leash. On that leash? Walks and hikes are awesome! In the house off leash? Not so much. I’m proud of you and your fur baby. Little cuddle bug. ❤
