The 5 steps to teach your dog fetch!

Teach Your Dog To Stack Rings

Teach Ring Stackers 300 x 250 - Animated

How I Taught Emma Fetch

Step 1: (chase) in an area with limited distractions, get your dog excited about an object, and toss a short distance

Step 2: (return) after tossing the object, be positive and excited, encouraging your dog to return, moving away often helps, mark and reward with praise

Step 3: (drop it) introduce the bait and switch method, pull out a second toy, and mark "drop it" when letting go naturally

Step 4: remove the second object

Step 5: increase distraction and distance individually

Benefits of Fetch:
_ Healthy activity for exercise
– Builds trust and bond
– Work for non-food reward

  1. We love sharing our training tutorials and are excited to announce the launch of The Hapco, a community of pet parents who want to unleash more adventures with their pups. It includes our Dog Training in 60 Seconds course, live calls, exclusive promos, guides, and a feed to connect with other members. Can’t wait to see you there! http://www.thehapco.com

    1. Where did you buy the leash? My puppy is a very energetic dog and Loves to be outside but everytime we let her outside we always have to chase after her or run for her to follow us. Last time a bigger dog tried attacking and I froze because I thought she was gonna die so I started fighting back The other dog .She only had a few bites but now she is healthy and Still loves going outside😅. I bought a retracting leash but it doesnt rlly extend that far so I hook up two of her leashes together to let her run with me and for us to play and have fun training with her❤
