  1. Teach her “leave it alone” – it could save her life if someone accidentally drops medication etc

    1. Indeed very important! Also very handy outside when there is food or random trash that you dont want your puppy to eat.

Ps. You can teach this by just using the word ‘no’

    2. Better option is to teach them not to take anything without permission instead of an explicit leave it. Harder but creates a better default behavior

    3. @@NoThankUBeQuietthis is way way harder. “Leave it” is a good placeholder for this because it takes so long to teach.

I was able to teach all three of my dogs “leave it” in 3-10 15 minute training sessions(really depended on the dog). Not taking without explicit permission is something I’ve been working on for years because it’s so difficult for them.

I also think it’s a great thing to teach, but as an addition rather than a full replacement.

  2. I taught my puppy “off” so if they have something in their mouth they will put it down

English bulldogs eat anything so this was the first thing he learned 😂❤

  3. We taught our dog the command ‘out of the kitchen’ and it was super useful for when the oven was open or if something got dropped on the floor

  4. Did… did he censor her puppy bits?

Either YouTube censorship is out of control or there are people on the internet that are just being disgusting

  5. “ back away “ in case they’re in a situation where you can not move her because you are far away from her but you can tell her “ back away “ to make here away from the “dangerous” situation/thing.

  6. Teach her “tuck” it comes in handy in public and is one of the best things I have thought my dog. Basically you get them to come in between your legs and sit down. When they have that down then you can teach them to walk in that position.

  7. Omg my friend taught her dog this really cool trick the command is “pound it” and the dog “fist bumps” your hand with their snout it the cutest thing ever.

  8. I have a yellow lab and I want to know what treats to get for them to reward them when doing tricks. He is still a puppy

  9. I feed my puppy three times a day, but for lunch, I put all of her kibble in a cup, and I train her using that kibble. she has learned so much so fast and I am so proud of her
