God Bless and Woof!

There are plenty of different signs that your dog is happy and they also differ from dog to dog but here is just 3.

Licks You- This is a dogs form of grooming and they are communicating that they love you and want to make you happy. They also might be trying that tasty snack you just had.

Eye Contact/Watching- If your little fur ball is making eye contact with you it is because they want to know more about you. This is how they take in information about who you are and what makes you happy.

Belly Rubs- If your pup is letting you give them a belly rub it’s because they are happy and trust you. This is a vulnerable position for a dog so if they aren’t happy with you then they probably won’t let you give them a belly rub.

    1. @@arkapratimluci7565 Biting (with my pups) is often just playfighting. If you are stroking them and they just bite you randomly, also try avoiding stroking that place as it often means their hurt.

    1. it’s juste a sign of submission. she juste showing you that she consider you as a superior in her pack.

    2. @@albaneserre1170 no. It’s a sign of trust. Trust and submission are two different things.

  3. The cutest thing is when they turn around and look at you when you’re on a walk.🥹 so happy to be outside and loving you for taking them🥹

    1. Ah yes my dog does that, but I think it’s cuz he’s a lil anxious I might disappear around the corner

    2. @@sagisdoodleverse9696 yeah it’s done for reassurance. We can anthropomorphize as much as we like but generally speaking none of their actions marry up with actions of our own. A lot of the “love” we feel from animals is purely their want for food and us as the supplier of said food. Love my dog regardless of that fact.

    3. I love this too, Angus turns around and smiles at me like she’s letting me know he’s happy I’m walking him 😻

  4. Dogs actually make eye contact to determine their owner’s mood. One of the only animals that is able to do that, and one of the many reasons they’re a
    person’s best friend

    1. @@Geebicus dogs and humans never “evolved” with each other. They’ve been the same animal since we domesticated them

    2. Did you say “person’s” instead of “man’s” to be PC lol? I think you meant perCHILD’s because what about daughters?

    1. If anybody is reading this, we got a new yellow lab, same colour as Flash and named him Flash the second in his memory.
